Accreditation Accords

Accreditation Accords are international agreements (Washington, Sydney, Dublin) recognising equivalent engineering qualifications across countries, supporting global mobility for registered engineers.

How Accreditation Works

Three globally recognised levels of registration

The three agreements IEPNG participates in operate at the globally recognised three levels of registration: the Washington Accord (Chartered / Professional Engineer), the Sydney Accord (Incorporated Engineer / Engineering Technologist), and the Dublin Accord (Engineering Technician).

Because these are international mutual-recognition agreements, an engineering qualification accredited under one signatory body is recognised as substantially equivalent by all others — giving IEPNG members a credential that carries weight beyond Papua New Guinea.
